Cellular Imaging in Drug Discovery
Traditional paradigms of drug screening often focus solely on single targets or pathways. To improve the drug discovery process, cellular imaging techniques have been developed that would allow the quantification of events in the more complex environment of a cell or organism. Quantitative analysis can now be performed on cellular events and phenotypic changes. This review will provide an overview of technologies and techniques that contribute to the drug discovery process.
