Jennifer Berrent, Partner, WilmerHale

Jennifer Berrent has handled a variety of corporate and securities law matters for a number of entrepreneurs, early-stage investors and established companies. Ms. Berrent has routinely advised on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and initial public offerings, among others. Using her business background, Ms. Berrent has advised clients on how to adapt their business models and has regularly provided advice and representation to emerging companies and clients in the FinTech sector. Before law school, she was a strategy consultant at The Parthenon Group and worked in the Strategic Planning Group at American Express.

Ms. Berrent has been working with emerging companies in particular for more than 15 years and is focused on serving as trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and the NYC entrepreneurial community. She represents first-time and serial entrepreneurs, as well as early stage investors and venture capital funds. She spearheaded the firm’s involvement with WeWork Labs, a leading start-up incubator program, to offer accessible legal counsel and programming for early stage entrepreneurs.

Todd Anderman, Senior Associate, WilmerHale

Mr. Anderman is a corporate law generalist, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He has extensive experience advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, strategic divestitures and joint ventures. Additionally, Mr. Anderman has represented underwriters in all phases of debt and equity securities offerings, including initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, investment grade and high yield bond offerings and private placements. Mr. Anderman also has experience advising administrative agents, lenders and borrowers in connection with syndicated term loan, revolving loan, asset-based loan and letter-of-credit facilities. In addition to his work with the firm’s more established clients, Mr. Anderman currently represents several emerging companies with respect to a wide range of issues, including initial organization and incorporation matters, financings and sales transactions.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Anderman was an associate with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
