IP and Technology Licensing

Mount Sinai Innovation Partners supports Mount Sinai faculty, staff and students in dissemination of important discoveries through the licensing of Mount Sinai intellectual property including patents, copyrights, know-how and tangible material.

Sponsored Research and Collaborative Research Agreements

Mount Sinai Innovation Partners supports Mount Sinai faculty, staff and students with their industry research agreements including facilitating industry request for proposals.

Access to Tangible Materials

Mount Sinai Innovation Partners supports Mount Sinai faculty, staff and students with agreements to transfer proprietary materials into and out of the Medical School through material transfer agreements as well as tangible material licensing arrangements.

Engagement with the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Entrpreneurship

The Center for Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CTIE) is a new center at Mount Sinai engaging with industry experts to pursue research and education at the intersection of basic science discovery and applied science implementation to advance the development of new bio-medical technologies.

Faculty Consulting

Consulting for outside parties is encouraged at Mount Sinai as a means to professional growth and development and a way to stay abreast of the research and development activity in the private sector.  However, all faculty and staff consulting activities must be reviewed for compliance with Mt Sinai policies through the Conflict of Interest (COI) Office.

Clinical Trials

The Grants and Contracts Office facilitates several hundred clinical trial agreement documents annually. These trials include both Industry Sponsored and Investigator Initiated Studies ranging from Phase I safety studies to post-marketing research.

Donations and Gifts

As a not-for-profit organization Mount Sinai may, through its Office of Development, accept charitable donations from industry in furtherance of Mount Sinai’s mission.

Conferences and Education

Courses offered by the Page and William Black Post Graduate School for Continuing Education enable physicians and other health professionals to extend their knowledge and remain current in their specific fields.
